Discovery:

Two basic form:
Polyvinyl chloride is a thermoplastic polymer and is the world's third-most widely produced synthetic polymer of plastic. There are two general form: rigid PVC and flexible PVC. Flexible PVC compounds have plasticizers added to them and can be made softer and more flexible while rigid ones have little to none.
Properties:
Density: The density of rigid PVC can measure from 1.3 to 1.45 g/cm3 compared to the density of soft PVC, which is 1.1 to 1.35 g/cm3.Rigid PVC is denser and stiffer, so that can be stored much longer, making it useful for many products.
Thermal and fire: The high chlorine present in PVC products makes them self-extinguishing. As a thermoplastic, PVC has an inherent insulation that aids in reducing condensation formation and resisting internal temperature changes for hot and cold liquids.
Electrical: PVC is a polymer with good insulation properties.
Chemical: Pure polyvinyl chloride is a white, brittle, non-toxic solid. PVC has high chemical stability and good plasticity, PVC is chemically resistant to acids, salts, alkalis and alcohols. As a result, it is the preferred material for many long-lasting and outdoor products mostly.
Eco-friendly: Rigid PVC can be recycled and even secondary treatment is less poisonous than flexible PVC. So rigid PVC product is friendly to environment.
Application:
The rigid PVC is widely used in construction for pipe and in house decoration such as doors and windows.it is also used in packaging, food-covering sheets and plastic cards. Flexible PVC can provide different uses, can be used in plumbing, electrical cable insulation, gumboots, because of its flexibility and resistance to oils, greases, and chemicals.
